Late last year Bata Indonesia officially opened its Administration and Marketing Office called “GRAHA BATA”, located at Jl. RA Kartini, Cilandak Barat, Jakarta Selatan. Bata has been present in Indonesia for more than 75 years and this new office is designed to meet the future challenges for another 75 years.
In addition to the administration and marketing operations in the Graha Bata, the office also includes the Shoe Innovation Center (SIC) with a more competitive design and manufacturing method development center. SIC facilities allow Bata to virtually design its footwear products with a much faster process. Moreover, SIC researchers will continuously improve and develop better manufacturing methods and materials.
The relocation to this new office, where the SIC is located, is part of Bata Indonesia's main strategy to be “The Center of Excellence”. They have completed the relocation of Bata manufacturing facilities to Purwakarta and have established long term and exclusive trademark license agreements with Bata Brands. They are also building a footwear distribution center located in the Purwakarta manufacturing facilities area. The integrated distribution database system is expected to reach a broader range of consumers.
“Bata Indonesia will be an excellent shoe company in Indonesia and the regional footwear market in the future” said Bata Indonesia's Company Manager, Mr. Alberto Errico.
